U2 Remastered and Remixed

Being a fan of early U2, when there was word the albums War, October and Boy were going to be remastered with B-sides, remixes and outtakes, one word came to mind - finally! But after looking into what the deluxe versions of Boy and October have to offer, really the obvious choice is the deluxe version of War. It's really the only one with actual B-sides, remixes and outtakes. The other two have some live versions of songs, but nothing too exciting to write home about. Now if only they'll release the DVD version of Under a Blood Red Sky: Live at Red Rocks we can call it even.

NWA | Straight Outta Compton

Been listening to a lot of NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" lately and even though it's been awhile since its initial release (1988), the production quality is still amazing. One might say timeless.

Polvo Reunion | Los Angeles at The Echoplex

What started as one reunion show at All Tomorrow's Parties has luckily for us turned into shows being booked in most major cities throughout the United States. Upon hearing they are coming to Los Angeles at the Echoplex on 08/31/08, their first album "Cor-Crane Secret" was quickly pulled from the record shelf as a reminder of how good they were.
