Easy Bike Tour of Scotland

I wish I could say my bike tour of Scotland was very similar to this one, but I have to say mine involved a lot of riding in cars, walking and drinking a lot of alcohol.

Wtf, are you kidding me? 6 years old? Skateboarding for 14 months? Some people play guitar, paint, ride bikes, play computer games and this kid has accomplished more in 14 months than most people combined.

Arcade Fire | Live on SNL

I haven't written about the new Arcade Fire album, The Suburbs, as of yet, so their appearance on SNL last night is a good excuse to gush about how much new album has grown on me. I always thought Win Butler's voice was great on previous albums, but when his wife, Régine Chassagne, would sing it left me perplexed, often sounding like a different band. However on The Suburbs, Régine Chassagne's voice melts into the rest of the songs and creating, in my opinion, they're most cohesive album to date. Is that really Scarlett Johanson or Sigourney Weaver?

Volcano Choir | Island IS: Live in Tokyo

Being a huge fan of Bon Iver's debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago, I was really interested to hear Volcano Choir and how Bon Iver/Justin Vernon sounded with a full band backing him up. This live video doesn't disappoint as it sounds really good and has an energy I'm really liking.

Chilean Miner | David Letterman: Video

This appearance by one Edison Pena, Chilean Miner, is so ridiculously funny. This guy is quite a character, maybe he'll write a book.

Jonsi | Live @ Origami Vinyl: Video

I'm a big believer that a pretty good song can be stripped down to the bare minimum and still come across as something that can move you in some way. Or if it's a fairly simple-noisy pop song, a stripped down version can sometimes reveal the intricacies of just how well structured and good the song really is. This seems to be one of those songs.

I guess after this performance at L.A.'s Origami Vinyl, Jonsi cancelled the rest of his in-store tour as it was a bit on the uncomfortable side. You can see how close people are standing next him when he's singing, so yeah I can understand that.

Wolf Parade | This Hearts on Fire: Live on Late Late Show

I love this Wolf Parade song, "This Hearts on Fire," from their album Apologies to the Queen Mary and performed on the Late Late Show in 2007. I hadn't seen this before and just thought I'd share.
